Dear friend,
My name is Demetra Evangelou, founder of Third Isle. But you can call me D!
Growing up in Athens, Greece, I developed a love and understanding of hospitality and travel that I like to call my superpower. Third Isle is the product of a lifelong passion, and unconditional love for places that make us feel like home.
Based in Toronto, Canada, we specialize in travel design across Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean, but it's not just about the destinations. I’ve always been drawn to the way places hold us. How a single street, a quiet courtyard, or a room filled with late-afternoon light can feel like it’s keeping a secret just for you. Before Third Isle, I studied architecture, chasing the ways spaces shape our emotions. Travel became the natural extension of that, a way to design not just buildings, but moments.
What I love most is how travel changes people in ways they don’t expect. A city that softens you. A coastline that feels like an answer. A fleeting conversation with someone you’ll never meet again. Third Isle grew from wanting to create more of those moments for others.
This work is my favourite kind of storytelling: weaving details into something you can feel, letting place do what it does best - hold you, shift you, and stay with you long after you’ve returned.
